Nuffield Health pride themselves on providing a holistic approach to healthcare. This includes clinical support, rehab, emotional wellbeing and physical fitness. To showcase these services, we decided to tell a human story about someone who has benefited from this approach.
Nuffield’s Senior Content Producer Niki Young spearheaded the search for a suitable participant and found Terrie, a woman stricken with fibromyalgia, a rheumatic condition causing stiffness and pain around the joints.
When she first entered Nuffield Health’s gym in Manchester, she could barely walk. Now, just a year on, she is fully mobile and scheduled to take part in a 5km charity walk.
Taking the audience on Terrie’s emotional journey was fairly challenging as the improvements took place over several months (and I wasn’t there to document them). Because of this, I decided to put an increased focus on Nuffield staff members and how they used their expertise to help Terrie.
I opted to shoot, edit and distribute this piece in 4K as it was to be used on a larger screen at several events. The increased resolution also proved to be useful when pulling stills from the footage.
The main audience for this project turned out to be internal stakeholders within Nuffield as it is a perfect distillation of how they want their integrated services to deliver exceptional care.
